Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Bury College as our Head of Curriculum for Performing Arts. As the new Head of Curriculum, you will be working within our John Cartwright Theatre, dance and rehearsal studios. As the Head of Curriculum, you will be supporting our students across both A Level and Vocations Performing Arts courses. Managing a team within the department. This is a permanent Part time position (18.5 hours per week). We are looking for candidates who are able: To Manage, lead and develop a varied curriculum of courses ensuring the students positive progression and success against key performance indicators. To support the Assistant Principal in managing and maintaining learning accommodation resources Play an active role in leading team based quality assurance activity including: lesson observation, self assessment, quality improvement planning, internal and external verification/moderation and curriculum review. The successful candidates will have: Excellent communication skills and the ability to develop working relationships at all levels A flexible approach to working, as this role will include some evenings to support performance The ability to work on your own, using your own initiative both independently and as a member of a wider team At Bury College we are a friendly, forward-looking college where staff are valued and supported to achieve their potential.
