Developing and implementing effective policies, procedures and training plans you will ensure that the Portfolio Director and Collector of Customs & Excise has access to the best professional advice and information on all aspects of Customs and Immigration.  Attending Committees, you will advise as required and engage with colleagues across the public service to deliver the strategic vision for Customs and Immigration.

Holding a Level 5 or 6 (degree) qualification or equivalent experience, you will have a substantial background as a senior manager within the UK Border Force (or Customs or Immigration services) or in a UK Overseas Territory. Your up-to-date knowledge Of Customs and Immigration issues will be supported by time providing Customs and/or immigrations services at airports and seaports. You are experienced at analysing and interpreting information to develop solutions or solve problems and in planning and implementing change, whilst able to influence, network and use professional judgement and diplomacy to make decisions. You will be vetted to ‘Security Clearance’ level.
