Head Of Delivery (Clean Water)

Abatec are currently recruiting for a Head of Delivery, to join our client, one of the largest environmental infrastructure groups in the UK where you will spearhead a dynamic team comprising Project Managers, Engineers, and essential support services. Your primary objective will be to meticulously orchestrate the implementation of their planned capital programme, ensuring the safety, timeliness, and budgetary controls of each project. With an annual value of £120 million, these projects encompass a spectrum from water treatment plants to impounding and potable water reservoirs, as well as the intricate water network.

This successful candidate will be tasked with driving forward our client’s mission of delivering Clean Water infrastructure with unwavering efficiency and excellence.

As Head ofClean Water Deliveryyou will:

• Develop and implement the delivery strategy for the planned capital programme.
• Strive for best-in-class safety, health and wellbeing across the delivery operation and wider business.
• Promote customer excellence and enhancing our brand with customers and stakeholders.
• Deliver the capital programme and outcomes to meet and exceed stakeholder expectations.
• Enhance the maturity & capability of the capital delivery team and implementing a maturity assessment methodology.
• Develop collaborative relationships with supply chain partners.
• Identify and implement best practice in programme, portfolio, and project delivery.
• Provide insight and benchmarking of Delivery costs and implementing efficiency opportunities.
• Give advice on the optimum commercial delivery models for the various portfolios of projects in the programme.
• Provide insight and reporting on capital delivery performance promoting proactive interventions and enabling wider business decisions.

Our client requires a Framework Manager with:

• Degree in Civil Engineering or similar profession
• Chartered Civil Engineer (MICE) or similar relevant professional qualification
• Programme, Portfolio and Project Delivery experience
• Contract administration, commercial management & financial management experience
• Senior Stakeholder Management, negotiation and influencing
• Numerate and ability to analyse complex challenges
• Tender Processes & Evaluation
• A combination of strategic leadership, strategic thinking, interpersonal skills, and a commitment to your own development

Salary and benefits include:

• £90,000 - £110,000 per annum
• Car allowance
• 10% bonus
• Enhanced pension scheme
• Offices split between Bristol and Exter
• Hybrid working with the additional option to work from Exeter or Bristol.
