Fruition IT are recruiting a Head of DevOps on behalf of a market leading & scaling Tech4good business based in Sheffield.

As Head of DevOps you'll champion the adoption of a DevOps culture, practices and tools to enhance efficiency, scalability, reliability and security across the SDLC. The DevOps team is currently a team of 4 with ambitions plans to grow the team as they continue to scale the technology function.

What will I be doing?

• You'll be an active member of the Engineering Leadership team
• You'll be providing visionary leadership to the DevOps team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Driving the innovation & adoption of DevOps practices, ensuring alignment with business objectives and value delivery
• Offering technical guidance & hands on expertise in DevOps practices
• Innovating & exploring emerging technologies
• Implementing and improving DevOps methodologies, optimising deployment practices
• Ensuring the selection and utilisation of appropriate tools plus identifying any gaps
• Collaborate with cross functional teams
• Leading and supporting learning & development in the team, team management, overseeing recruitment and onboarding.

What do I need?

• Leading DevOps / Platform engineering teams
• Proven experience adopting a successful DevOps culture, practices and tooling
• Strong stakeholder & relationship management tools up to c-level
• Enthusiastic Agile practitioner
• Worked with and refined DevOps CI/CD pipelines
• Experience of cloud technologies - ideally AWS
• Ability to identify, recruit and nurture teams
