Head of Digital Marketing Operations

Purpose of the Role

The purpose of the role is to ensure alignment across the Digital Marketing Strategy and the Regional/Local digital initiatives.

The Head of Digital Marketing Operations will lead a team to act as the gatekeeper for the Digital Marketing Team and the primary point of contact with the Regional/Local Marketing Teams. The team will also oversee our agile digital delivery model, ensuring adoption, reporting, and enhancement of our processes. The role-holder will be accountable for all Digital Marketing service prioritisation and delivery tracking and will be responsible for Regional/Local stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities

Stakeholder Management and Governance

● Act as the primary gatekeeper between the M&I Digital Marketing Team and Regional/Local Marketing Teams with overall accountability for all Digital Marketing service delivery to the local marketing teams.

● Work with the Digital Marketing Director to ensure Regional/Local buy-in around the proposed Digital Marketing Strategic plan.

● Day to day management of internal and external stakeholders to include Regional/Local Marketing Directors, the M&I leadership team and consultants/third party agencies.

● Manage the expectations of the Regional/Local Marketing Teams and ensure that we are focused on delivering the projects with the greatest business benefit; where required escalate any deviations from the agreed plan to Digital Marketing Director.

● Demonstrate improvements in stakeholder value perception and satisfaction through driving our stakeholder NPS score to >65 Strategic Alignment and Lead Project Delivery

● Liaise with Regional/Local Marketing Teams to ensure that all digital activities are aligned with the Digital Marketing strategic direction - prioritise all agreed activities and ensure that we have the available internal and external resources to deliver within the agreed timelines.

● Coordinate the delivery of these projects with the internal Digital Marketing Specialist Teams.

● Key contributor to the definition of the future marketing technology stack to ensure that the digital platform and marketing technology stack meets Regional/Local market requirements.

Regional/Local Best Practice Sharing

● Lead and organise Regional/Local Digital Marketing workshops to support the delivery of the Digital Marketing Strategic Pillars and the prioritised Regional/Local digital initiatives.

● Facilitate the sharing of regional and local digital best practice to enable rapid adoption of internal best practice.

Requirements:

Key Competencies

● Proven track record in global stakeholder management and delivering complex Digital Marketing projects.

● Commercially focused with an ability to balance commercial outcomes and customer needs.

● Excellent communication skills and fluent presenter; with an ability to influence and persuade key business stakeholders.

● A demonstrated ability to work and build relationships with a variety of stakeholders across all levels in the organisation.

● Highly effective at working across specialist teams to deliver key programmes of work.

Qualifications and Experience

● Experience as a Digital Account Manager/Director in a Digital Marketing Agency or demonstrable experience managing, coordinating and facilitating services across departments and functions to internal stakeholders would be a distinct advantage.

● Demonstrated experience in delivering complex global programmes in a highly matrixed European or Global organisation.

● Experienced in working with ambiguity in a fast paced reactive environment.

● Some understanding of paid search, SEO, CX and UX.

● PRINCE qualified or similar.

● Degree qualified is preferred.
