Head of eCommercePurpose of job:

The Head of eCommerce will be responsible for developing and executing the overall e-commerce strategy, overseeing the day-to-day operations of our online storefront, and ensuring a seamless customer experience.

This senior leadership role requires a blend of strategic thinking, technical expertise, and strong leadership skills to drive online sales, enhance customer engagement, and expand our market presence.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive e-commerce strategy to achieve revenue targets, enhance customer experience, and expand market reach.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to create and execute digital marketing campaigns, including SEO/SEM, email marketing, paid social, and all other online advertising.
• Analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor e-commerce performance, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
• Develop and manage the e-commerce budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to achieve business objectives.
• Foster relationships with third-party technology partners and service providers to enhance e-commerce capabilities and integrations.
• Ensure the online product catalogue is accurately maintained, with compelling product descriptions, high-quality images, and appropriate pricing.
• Collaborate with the buying & merchandising and distribution teams to ensure efficient inventory management, order fulfilment, and delivery processes.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for innovation and growth.
• Help implement best practices for customer service and support to enhance the online shopping experience and drive customer loyalty.

Head of eCommerceQualifications/skills required to perform role:

• Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms and web analytics tools. Experience in re-platforming would be a plus.
• Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Proven leadership and team management abilities, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in the furniture or home goods industry is highly desirable.
• Proficient in e-commerce technologies, including website development, payment systems, and CRM tools.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Strong financial acumen and experience in budget management.
