Job description

At an exciting time of development for the University we're looking for a highly motivated Head ofEmployee Engagement and Internal Communications to join the People and Culture Division.  Working closely and collaboratively with the Executive Team, the People and Culture Division and key stakeholders across the University you will develop and drive our Employee Engagement strategy and strategic Internal Communications activities. With a demonstrable track record gained within a complex and fast-paced environment, you will identify, develop and embed new and innovative ways of working, improve Employee Engagement through clear, transparent and two-way dialogue, and deliver Internal Communications across a broad spectrum of priorities. Highly creative, you will devise and deliver innovative methods of delivery to maximise Employee Engagement and impact. You will maintain an active and collaborative working relationship with colleagues within the Corporate Communications team to ensure consistency and synergy of approach. The University is undergoing a period of significant and transformational change and you will play a key role in driving and facilitating the Engagement and communications aspects of strategic change programmes, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and embedding the University’s culture, values and behaviours to support the development of a high-performance environment. This full time post is available immediately on an indefinite basis.  UEA offers a variety of flexible working options and although this role is advertised on a full-time basis, we encourage applications from individuals who would prefer a flexible working pattern including annualised hours, compressed working hours, part time, job share, term-time only and/or hybrid working.
