Head of Employment JERSEY

Commercial offshore law firm in Jersey is looking to recruit an experienced Employment lawyer to take up the position of Head of Employment and take principal charge of the Employment Team (and Employment law matters) in the firm’s Jersey and Guernsey offices. The client-base includes the full range of institutional, corporate and SME organisations, including the offshore operations of many global financial institutions through to high level executives, directors and employees in those jurisdictions. Core matters which the team covers includes: • Board level disputes • Business sale, restructures, re-organisations, redundancies • Compromise agreements • Contractual arrangements - employment contracts, consultancy agreements, fixed term contracts, zero-hour contracts • Data protection • Directors – director contracts, director duties and director exits • Discipline and grievances • Discrimination • Employee fraud and regulatory investigations • Employment aspects of commercial transactions – M&A • Exit strategies • Flexible working arrangements • Managing capability, misconduct and sickness.

In addition to taking overall supervision and management of the Employment team, you will also be tasked with overseeing the growth of the employment practice by initiating, developing and maintaining productive client and intermediary relationships. You will also be expected to proactively drive change and assist the business to deliver its overall strategic plans.
