Full-time permanent role Monday to Friday
Role fully based on site – Mid Ulster, Dungannon / Coalisland area
As a medium-sized, established, homegrown heavy metal machinery engineering company; our Client has become a commercial success story; designing and manufacturing products that are known for their durability. With a full order book and operating in a market that has seen substantial growth and sustainable natural predictions in the coming years, they supply a global market that is set to expand in the current climate in the coming decade – with aggressive growth plans within the company to fulfil this need.
This role is a senior management position reporting directly to the Managing Director and overseeing experienced teams of Mechanical Project Design, R&D and Application Engineers, up to nearly 20 people. The strategic direction, operation processes and efficiencies of these teams are a key focus for this new role to allow for necessary expansion and increased orders. At present, the bottleneck within the company is predominantly within this area and a key goal is to improve the system of design to increase the flow from Sales into Manufacturing. The role will involve the analysis/appraisal and selection of new technologies as part of improvements, as well as setting up design processes to better allow for core workable foundation drawings that enable future products and processes to be worked from a higher base level.
The successful person will be a strong team leader within a similar role and have had previous extensive experience in specifically managing or overseeing Design, R&D and Applications teams in the past, ideally within the heavy metal machinery industry.
They will have a relevant 3rd level education and have a strategic mindset as well as one for efficiencies and process flow improvement.
If this role is of interest; then get in touch for a conversation and a more detailed job specification with Hugh Nugent or Darren McVicker in absolute confidence. We are meeting with potential candidates over the next week to discuss the roles prospects at length.
