Job description

Are you ready to take charge of technical operations within a dynamic business environment? My client is seeking a proactive and skilled Technical Manager to lead their engineering team and drive technical excellence.
Responsibilities:
  • Assume responsibility for all technical activities within the company.
  • Collaborate with the Management Team to ensure timely issuance of technical information.
  • Establish and lead the engineering team, maximising output with attention to detail.
  • Report technical information to Group HQ (Europe) as required.
  • Work with the Management Team to ensure smooth company operations.
  • Address technical queries from various departments.
  • Support the Sales Department, including monthly meetings to review prospects.
  • Assist in evaluating technical issues with installed products.
  • Coordinate with other factories.
  • Lead continuous development of design and analysis tools.
  • Coordinate research and development.
  • Actively participate in product development and new initiatives.
  • Promote value engineering principles and design for manufacture.
  • Monitor and promote the use of new materials and manufacturing processes.
  • Advise senior management on staffing needs.
  • Undertake necessary duties to ensure smooth company operations.
Requirements:
Education / Qualifications:
  • Essential: Degree in Engineering.
  • Optional: Masters or PhD in relevant Engineering discipline.
Experience and Knowledge:
  • Essential: Experience in bespoke special purpose machinery.
  • Essential: Experience leading a team of engineers.
Skills and Competencies:
  • Highly self-motivated with a drive for success.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong problem analysis and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good planning and organization skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet challenging deadlines.
  • Strong decision-making skills.
