Head of Estates & Facilities

Your new role
You will lead the day-to-day operations in relation to the overall estates service, providing effective leadership, ensuring that all buildings are maintained, serviced, clean and fit for purpose at all times, resulting in a safe and secure working and learning environment for all.
You will ensure that externally contracted work provides the best value for money, ensuring Financial Regulations are fully adhered to, liaising with and monitoring contractor performance. You will be able to evidence financial control, and promote the efficient use of resources within agreed budgets.
You will have good working knowledge of an automated Building Management System (BMS).
You will have significant experience of successful leadership of planning, development and growth and be able to demonstrate achievement in building strong relationships across a range of stakeholders.
Key Duties:
- Oversee all on-site facilities services including all hard & soft services
- Lead, manager and develop the estates overall service
- Manage CAPEX project budgets and timescales
- Be a member of the senior leadership team
- To contribute to the development of the estates strategy
- Manage the timely delivery of all utilities, M&E, building fabric, grounds and lifecycle maintenance
What you\'ll need to succeed
- Experience in Facilities/Estates management in the public sector
- Project management experience and relevant qualification
- Recognised H&S qualification
- HNC/HND in QS or construction related discipline
- Membership of FM related membership (IWFM, MBIFM)
- Excellent leadership skills
