Head of Estimating - Social Housing (Peckham) - £70k - £80k

We are searching for a highly motivated Head of Estimating to lead a growing team within a progressive construction company based in Peckham.

In this pivotal role, you will:

• Oversee the production of accurate and competitive estimates for social housing projects.
• Manage a team of 2 estimators, providing guidance and ensuring their professional development.
• Cultivate strong client relationships, ensuring clear communication and project understanding.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively implementing solutions.
• Liaise with other departments (e.g., project managers) to ensure project estimates align with overall goals.
• Contribute to the continued growth and development of the estimating function.

To be successful, you will possess:

• Minimum 5 years' experience as an Estimator within the Social Housing Sector (mandatory).
• People Management experience
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality estimates on time and within budget.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• In-depth knowledge of social housing construction regulations and best practices.
• Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., CCS, SMM7).

This is a hybrid role offering a flexible working arrangement:

• 3 days per week in the office (Peckham)
• 2 days per week working from home
• (occasional site visits may be required)
