Head of External Renewables

We have a great opportunity to join our Team as the Head of External Renewables working from our Gasway office in Colchester.

In this role some of your key objectives would include taking the lead on all technical design aspects of delivery ensuring consistent and effective solutions are always specified. To develop and implement technical processes and procedures in support of the high-quality delivery of renewable energy systems. To ensure the department maintains and develops excellent customer relationships following enquires through from start to finish.

Salary : £50,000 - £60,000 dependant on experience

Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8am-5pm

Location: Gasway Office, Colchester

Main responsibilities:

1.To achieve agreed KPI`s for the department.

2. Collaborate with the sales and marketing department to increase renewable energy sales

3. Develop and maintain MCS processes for the delivery of renewable energy systems.

4. Provide leadership on all technical matters in relation to renewable energy systems.

5. Identify trends within the sector and ensure that the renewables team receives the necessary training.

6. Monitor profitability on delivered projects to ensure survey accuracy – final costs to be within 5% of quote provided to customer.

7. Develop processes to ensure that an average 24% gross profit margin is achieved across all completed jobs per month.

8. Ensure that Health, Safety and Welfare of colleagues in the workplace are prioritised in line with the H&S policy and procedures.

9. Take personal responsibility for seeking value for money opportunities to get service right first time and enhance brand reputation.

10. Understand and use measures to enable continuous improvement of the renewables team.

11. Ensure that It Security and Data Protection Legislation is always adhered to.

Required Experience

• A track record in renewable energy design and implementation
• Be ambitious and motivated to achieve successful results
• leadership of a growing team
• A track record of developing client relationships and meeting or exceeding sales targets and KPI’s
• Contacts within the renewable energy industry across multiple sectors
• Experience with multiple renewable energy manufacturers and appliance types
• Extensive knowledge of domestic, commercial heating and cooling (AC) system types.
• knowledge of various contract types

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

• Part P Electrical
• Mechanical apprenticeship, C&G, NVQ3 or equivalent
• Significant knowledge of building legislation and construction product standards.
• design of either M&E systems including controls across multiple systems and various types
• Excellent attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proficient IT skills including CAD, Microsoft word, Excel.
• Knowledge of financial forecasts, budgets, and P&L`s
