A fantastic opportunity has arisen with a health charity for a Head of Finance and Operations, on a part-time (4 days per week), permanent basis. You will provide leadership to the Finance and Operations team to ensure that the charity’s finance, office, HR administration, data management and IT functions reflect best practice, comply with relevant legislation, and help the charity to meet its objectives.
Please note, the salary on show is the FTE. There is hybrid working in place with this organisation with 1-2 days required in the office per week.
As Head of Finance and Operations, you will:
- Prepare timely, accurate and insightful financial reports and management accounts for trustees and senior staff to ensure informed decision making
- Provide commentary and analysis of the charity’s financial position and identify potential financial risks
- Manage the Finance Officer and support them in their role
- Take responsibility for the charity’s IT and data management infrastructure ensuring that it meets the needs of the organisation
The successful applicant will:
- Have significant demonstrable experience in finance within the charity sector, in a similar role
- Be fully qualified (hold a Professional Chartered Accountancy Qualification)
- Have significant experience of accounts management at a senior level including budget preparation and management of year end accounts/audit
- Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
