About NMC Recordings
NMC Recordings is a multi-award-winning new music record label and charity, representing and reflecting the breadth of composition in Britain and Ireland today — as well as releasing works by major 20th-century composers that are not available elsewhere.
We were founded in 1989 by composer Colin Matthews and encouraged and supported by Imogen Holst. Our mission is to connect listeners around the world with exceptional contemporary classical music by composers from Britain and Ireland, to nurture and develop composers as they prepare for their first recordings, and to open the door to a world of new sounds and musical possibilities to countless young people through education projects and resources connected to the label.
We believe new music is a dynamic and engaging art form that should be widely available.
About the role
You will take a central role in the NMC Recordings journey, taking this celebrated organisation onto the next stage of its development.
Working closely with the Executive Director and the whole team, you will create NMC’s fundraising strategy. You will identify new opportunities; cultivate, build and develop relationships and contribute to the future direction and sustainability of this jewel in the musical life of the UK.
This is an exciting time for the organisation. 2024 marks our 35th year, and we look forward with confidence to the future.
Who we are looking for
We are searching for a relationship fundraiser with a flair and passion for storytelling and inspiring support.
Our ideal candidate will be creative, willing to test and try and has a naturally curious disposition.
Given the size of the organisation, we are looking for someone who is happy to roll up their sleeves and make things happen.
Candidates who have expertise in trusts and grants, corporate fundraising and individual fundraising will be looked upon favourably.
We are open to candidates who have the desire and drive to take on their first Head of Fundraising position if you have one or more areas of expertise.
This is a crucial and exciting role within a small but powerful organisation at the forefront of delivering and supporting new music, so an understanding or appreciation of music would be beneficial.
