THE ROLE: Full-time (37 hours per week) / Permanent / Job description and application pack are available to download from our website As part of our newly structured People and Programmes directorate, we are looking for an inspirational leader to develop and deliver our Fundraising and Communications strategy. Driving significant growth in reach, impact and income in line with YMCA DownsLink Group's new strategy and ambitions. They will lead an integrated Fundraising and Communications function and ensure a collaborative approach to consistent, distinctive messaging and engagement activity that supports successful Fundraising and wider organisational goals linked to influencing policy and engaging external decision-makers. This role is part of the Extended Leadership Team and will be required to make an active contribution to the strategic direction, planning and leadership of YMCA DownsLink Group. The postholder will act as a role model for our values and ensure the needs of children and young people are at the centre of everything we do. This is a hybrid role with an expectation of 3 days on site and 2 days from home - working Monday to Thursday, 9am to 5pm and Friday, 9am to 4.30pm. We are looking for somebody with strategic fundraising experience and the ability to meet income targets whilst managing the implementation of Fundraising plans across a broad range of income streams. You will have demonstrable experience leading strategic communications for an organisation, engaging multiple audiences including media, service users, supporters, donors and stakeholders. You are a strategic thinker with the ability to see the bigger picture and make decisions in line with the charity's needs as part of a leadership team, along with the ability to manage change and develop high performing teams. In delivering the role, you will have ability to identify and capitalise on opportunities whilst being able to work under pressure, multi-tasking and dealing with multiple strands of work, and deliver results. In addition, you will have experience in branding and brand management with a strong commercial acumen.
