Job description

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic fundraising team in this newly created role. You will have responsibility for growing our income from new and existing donors through regular giving, individual donations, and DM appeals. You will also seek to grow membership of Weston Hospicecare Lottery.


This is a great opportunity to put your own stamp on this area of Fundraising, all in support of a charity that is providing exceptional care to patients and families in this area.

 

Due to the nature of the role, you will need to be able to travel around the Weston–super-Mare and North Somerset area, to work in different locations as required, and therefore access to a vehicle is required. The post holder will be required to work some evenings and weekends, for which time off in lieu will be given.

 

Duties will include:

·         Managing all relationship based fundraising for the hospice

·         Creating an individual giving strategy for Weston Hospicecare

·         Devising, managing and implementing all direct mail appeal for the hospice

·         Working closely with the Communications team to ensure all marketing materials are branded and targeted correctly

·         Reviewing, developing and running the regular giving programme

·         Devising and developing a lapsed donor strategy in the aim of donor reactivation

·         Developing and delivering a programme of exceptional donor care

·         Managing all aspects of Weston Hospicecare’s mature lottery

·         Working closely with the Supporter Care team to monitor, analyse and segment the fundraising database

·         Line managing and developing the Supporter Care team, ensuring they are supported and trained to perform well in their roles

·         Working with the Head of Fundraising, to regularly analyse performance to ensure that targets are met

 

To be successful in this role, we’re looking for someone with:

·         Experience of working on individual giving campaigns and related fundraising

·         Experience of relationship management

·         Excellent communication skills

·         Commitment to the work of Weston Hospicecare

·         A strong team player

·         Able to transport self within community catchment area
