Job Overview:
Axon Moore are partnering with a well-established, P.E backed business based in South Manchester who are looking to bring an experienced Accountant with experience in Foreign Exchange into their team. With the continued success of the group function, this newly created role will play a pivotal role in the ongoing development of the group offering, providing financial support to the wider business.
Salary: £60,000 - £70,000
Benefits: Remote, with the requirement to be willing to visit the South Manchester office periodically.
Location: South Manchester
Main Duties:

• Undertake responsibility for the Group hedging strategy.
• Develop, improve and document the foreign exchange processes and policies across the Group.
• Monitor adherence to foreign currency processes and policies across the Group.
• Provide regular informative reporting on foreign currency position and exposures to senior management.
• Oversee the production of regular foreign currency forecasts and sensitivity analysis.
• Investigate and implement hedging tools across the Group to manage exposures
• Provide oversight of the Group monthly hedging scheme, reviewing the analysis produced by the team.
• Identify and understand the key drivers behind key monthly currency exposures, looking at ways to mitigate the risk.
• Ensure any risks associated with fluctuations in FX rates and exposures are monitored, working alongside other areas of the business.
• Oversee the accounting and management of external financial instruments
• Responsibility over the intercompany loan environment, ensuring that loans are regularly reviewed.
• Provide input from a currency exposure perspective to a range of intercompany loan situations.
• Oversee the preparation of detailed workings for the annual Group interest recharges.
• Oversee the preparation of notes to the financial statements relating to interest rate risk.
• Direct line manager for the Group Financial and one over-sea's colleague.
• Responsible for setting objectives for the team in line with wider Group aims.
• Provide training and on the job feedback to the team, alongside the formal annual Group appraisal process.
• Manage the continuing development of team members.
• Act as the main advisor on foreign currency issues across the Group.
• Preparation of ad-hoc reports and analysis as required.

Person Specification:

• ACA/ ACCA or CIMA Qualified.
• Experience working in an environment with tight deadlines.
• Experience of foreign currency management.
• Advanced Excel skill set.
• Experience of team management.
• Excellent communicator with the ability to disseminate financial information to none financial stakeholders.
