Job description

Location: Wellington Square, Oxford This is a fixed-term maternity cover (12 months, from April 2024 to April 2025) which is also open as a secondment opportunity. Department Graduate Admissions and Recruitment supports the collegiate University in all activities related to the recruitment and admission of Graduate Students, facilitating the recruitment and retention of the most academically-able applicants and delivering ground-breaking graduate access initiatives to ensure equity and diversity. We are seeking an experienced and committed senior manager with expert communications and marketing skills for this senior role in the Graduate Admissions and Recruitment Office. About the Role This critical role will provide expert leadership and management to a team of 8, overseeing the planning and delivery of all activities undertaken by the Graduate Student Recruitment and Communications team which include marketing activity, social medial, website, digital communications and a set of pioneering graduate access activities (e.g. UNIQ+ research internship programme, contextual admissions).  The post-holder will also lead on establishing an evidence-based Graduate Student Recruitment and access strategy and action plan, in consultation with senior stakeholders across the collegiate University. About You The ideal candidate will show leadership and the ability to provide expert advice and management across a varied portfolio of activities from strategic work through to communications and marketing, as well as processes, systems, data analysis and evaluation. They will be highly organised, able to develop and bring to completion innovative initiatives and strategies, and show a sound current knowledge of issues affecting higher education.
