Head of Health Intelligence, GBP428, Minimum 3 months, Hybrid-London

You will Drive and lead the Health Intelligence function within multi Public Health team, to developing and influence the overall direction of the function. You will be able to initiate and lead strategic projects and programmes with a wide range of stakeholders to better understand the demographic, epidemiological and service-related population health challenges and inequalities. You will be the directorate lead for information governance. Your strategic scope of work will include cultivating and sustaining senior professional relationships with partners.

Essential

• Degree in Public Health, Epidemiology or related discipline; alternatively you maybe a postgraduate-equivalent qualification and registration such as Practitioner status with the UK Public Health Register (UKPHR)
• Broad practical experience of Health Intelligence in a Public Health or population health organisation
• Experience of project management, team leadership working with other professionals and stakeholders to deliver on a strategy and operational business objectives
• Expert in designing and deploying analytical approaches using a range of analytical software to inform policy and organisational decision-making.
• High standard of communication skills, demonstrated by the ability to present complex information both in writing and orally, in a variety of formats, and to a variety of audiences.
• Ability to develop and deliver presentations to large audiences featuring public health, statistical or epidemiological information.
• Understanding of the role of local authorities, health and social care in the management of population health.
• Experience of implementing, auditing and assuring information governance and data protection legislation.
• Expertise in using data warehousing and data management tools to support analytical workstreams.
• Ability to work independently and with others, prioritising workloads within agreed timescales and to meet deadlines and lead the work of a team.
• Ability to work flexibly in a changing environment and adapt team working practices to facilitate high performance.
• Ability and motivation to develop and improve skills, and progress in a Health Intelligence or Public Health career.
• Accuracy, attention to detail and a methodical approach
