Head of History with TLR 2:2

Full Time Permanent Post

About the role

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, resourceful and committed Head of History. You will be joining our highly successful Humanities Faculty which is based on a redeveloped site following an impressive investment programme across the Academy. We have strong leadership within a supportive faculty and would welcome applications from teachers looking to be part of the leadership groups within the Humanities Faculty.

We are seeking to appoint an inspirational leader for our History department. As Head of History, you will implement a vision and strategy to ensure the continued development of the department at King Alfred’s Academy.

We are looking for someone to inspire our students and promote a love for this subject both in and out of the classroom. History is a popular subject across all the Key Stages and many students choose to continue with History at both Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5. The successful applicant will be committed to continuing to develop History across the curriculum and securing the best outcomes for all students within the Academy.
