Job description

Amnesty International UK (AIUK) has a simple aim: an end to human rights abuses. Independent, international and influential, we campaign for justice, fairness, freedom and truth wherever they are denied. If you want to use your skills, knowledge, and experience to be successful in this role, you could be our new Legacy Marketing Specialist. This exciting opportunity has arisen in the Development team within Individual Giving to cover the maternity leave of the Legacy Marketing Specialist for 12 months.


About the role

The Legacy Marketing Specialist is responsible for delivering our ambitious Legacy Marketing strategy, ensuring our supporters and other target audiences feel valued, informed and empowered to leave a gift in their will to Amnesty International UK. The postholder will ensure effective cultivation and stewardship of Legacy pledgers and prospective legators through events and marketing communications to retain pledgers and generate new pledgers.

The role may be for you if:

  • You're skilled in direct marketing and have experience of successfully delivering a fundraising strategy.
  • You are an innovator in direct marketing, data driven in your approach and can confidently lead projects that drive change.
  • Your knowledge of marketing channels, creative and innovative thinking mean you are always at the forefront of testing strategies and industry trends.
  • You also have a good knowledge of delivering a supporter-centric approach to fundraising
  • You collaborate and positively contribute to an inclusive culture.
  • Your excellent interpersonal skills will enable you to work collaboratively with senior stakeholders and other colleagues from across the organisation
