Job description

PwC is looking for an experienced candidate to join the Marketing team at SM2 level, as Head of Marketing for Transformation.

The PwC go to market model includes a series of cross-industry platforms, which reflect the biggest challenges and opportunities our clients are responding to around the world, which require a multi-disciplinary response, drawing on the full range of PwC services and solutions. With a refreshed strategy for how we go to market on transformation in the UK, aligned to a refreshed global strategy, and significant investment in our technology and transformation capabilities in particular, we need an experienced marketer who can effectively navigate this fast paced environment, manage a diverse set of stakeholders and lead teams to deliver impact and results at pace.

This role requires a strategic and innovative approach, working collaboratively across the sales and marketing function and the go to market matrix. The role will require the individual to upskill across the breadth and depth of PwC's business, and develop a solid understanding of the assurance and advisory marketplaces, and competition, in order to position PwC to win.

This role will lead a multi-disciplinary marketing team to shape the strategic marketing requirements for platforms, and work with PwC's marketing capability teams across digital marketing, content & thought leadership, buyer engagement, brand and campaign management on the development and implementation of plans to deliver the required marketing and commercial outcomes.

This role works closely with the Sales and Marketing Strategy Director aligned to transformation, to agree the marketing strategic priorities as well as the Head of Marketing & Brand for the firm.

This role will also take responsibility for developing and owning senior stakeholder relationships including the Transformation Steering Committee, and others in leadership roles across the firm.

This role reports to the Sales and Marketing Director aligned to platforms on a day to day basis, and the individual will also be a member of the sales and marketing leadership community (working with the Head of the Marketing and Brand capability to ensure marketing excellence is delivered consistently across the firm).

Primary responsibilities include;

  • Lead the identification and assessment of Marketing requirements for the transformation platform, including across the key growth priorities, using a range of internal and external insight sources
  • Lead the development and implementation of Marketing strategy and feeding into the firmwide marketing plan to deliver marketing and commercial outcomes.
  • Lead and develop a high performing, cohesive team that delivers value against business strategy, commerciality and an excellent stakeholder experience
  • Strategic engagement and stakeholder management with relevant partners across the Line of Service and wider go to market matrix
  • Commercial understanding of the market opportunity, business priorities and growth areas across the wider firm.
  • Collaborate as one team working with wider marketing team leader community.
  • Lead and be responsible for overseeing the measurement of all marketing activity - capturing, analysing and developing recommendations based upon robust ROI metrics
  • Lead on developing new and innovative ways to connect with target audiences and seek out opportunities to differentiate PwC from our competitors
  • Working closely with the sales teams to ensure all activity is targeting the right people at the right accounts, is aligned to commercial objectives and delivering return on investment.
  • Responsible for overall quality control and adherence to governance and risk management
  • Exceptional budget management to ensure all investment is fully utilised

Marketing is part of the Sales and Marketing Team. Sales and Marketing is a centralised support function and covers all aspects of Marketing, sales support and business development.

  • Ability to bring new innovative marketing approaches to life and constantly evolve best practice
