Further Education provider with several sites based across Greater Manchester.
Your new role
The Head of MI, Planning & Performance will lead on the development and monitoring of the Group's performance management systems. You will oversee the Funding, Compliance, Management Information and Exams Functions, ensuring all statutory returns and obligations are met. Reporting into the Director of Business Operations you will ensure the Group achieves the very best standards of Data and Performance Management to benefit students, staff and stakeholders. You will have excellent knowledge of ESFA, GMCA and HE funding rules and audit compliance requirements and will provide direction and guidance to senior managers as part of the curriculum planning process. You will lead on the development and deployment of flexible, innovative and robust reporting to assist management, and ensure that timely and accurate performance data is available to meet the needs of both internal and external stakeholders.
What you\'ll need to succeed
* Proven track record of managing Funding and Data at a senior level within the FE sector.
* Experience of Managing FE and HE Data Returns along with Validation Suites of Software.
* Detailed working knowledge of ESFA, GMCA and other regulatory body audits and compliance visits.
* Experience of managing Student Records Systems and the integration with other College Information Systems.
* Well-developed knowledge of public sector funding for all aspects within the FE sector and an understanding of future challenges and current issues in the sector.
* Proficient with database systems and data reporting in SQL Server, PowerBI and SSRS etc.
* A strong track record of achievement, added value and success in relation to student data management.
* Experience of developing strategies to bring about improvements and enhance data management.
* Experience of operating at a strategic level and working pro-actively in response to Changes in funding methodology or guidance.
* Skilled in identifying potential threats and opportunities to ensure the College's strategic decision making is appropriately informed.
* Ability to analyse Data and support Senior Leaders in identifying trends, issues and potential solutions.
What you\'ll get in return
