Head of Non-Destructive Testing ( NDT)

Location: Sunderland

Salary £45,000-£55,000 per annum plus performance related bonus structure.

We are looking to for an experienced Head of Non-Destructive Testing to lead the UKAS ISO 17020 accredited NDT operations.

The successful candidate will oversee the NDT services, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety. A key part of this role involves business development, including identifying new opportunities, building relationships with potential clients, and expanding our client base.

The Job:

• Heading up the NDT team
• Ensuring quality and safety
• Identifying new business opportunities
• Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
• Supervising, guiding, and delegating staff and contractors in their duties.

What you will bring to the team:

Experience in:

• Growing an NDT division and bringing in new customers.
• Working as a NDT Technical Manager or Technical Authority.
• Working to a UKAS accredited ISO 17020 Quality management system.
• Managing NDT personnel
• Holds ISO 9712 certification in Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT), Dye Penetrant Testing (PT) and Magnetic Particle Inspection (MT)
