Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Salary: £90,000 per annum, plus car / car allowance, 33 days holiday, pension, life assurance, employee assistance programme, wellbeing support, and flexible benefits scheme

Unipart Logistics (UL) are partnering with Jaguar Land Rover to run the new, custom-built Global Parts Logistics Centre at Appleby Magna in Leicestershire. As our Head of Optimisation and Planning you will provide strategic planning leadership for all activities across the campus in order to optimise current operations and to understand the future capabilities of the business by modelling, designing and optimising an end to end network to drive efficiencies, cost savings and provide outstanding service to the customer.
As part of your key responsibilities you’ll:
Develop and implement comprehensive strategies to optimise operational efficiency and meet business objectives
Collaborate with the leadership teams to align Optimisation and Planning initiatives with overall goals
Communicate in a clear, precise, and regular format with all partners and stakeholders, including ongoing project status reports as well as capturing requirements from stakeholder teams
Continuously analyse data and key performance indicators to drive process enhancement
Develop end-to-end product flow strategies to optimise availability, service, and cost across all work streams
Own metrics and performance indicators related to initiatives to measure overall performance and provide foundation for continuous improvement.
Lead the development and execution of forecasting models to ensure accurate and timely order fulfilment
Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to understand market trends and demand fluctuations
Evaluate and implement cutting-edge warehouse, logistics and Planning technologies to enhance operational efficiency
Collaborate with the IT department to integrate and optimise software solutions
Drive the digital agenda on site by implementing key components in order to provide increased visibility to make informed decisions
Build and lead a high-performing Optimisation and Planning team
Work with business leaders to prioritise, harmonise and develop deployment plans
Lead the team in managing all elements of the projects, including organising and Planning, business case creation, management resource utilisation, tracking and controlling projects, managing risk & opportunity, managing quality, communicating & documenting, and change management
About You

Essential
Proven experience in supply chain Optimisation and Planning, preferably in the automotive or logistics industry
In-depth knowledge of supply chain processes, demand forecasting, and inventory management
Experience with logistics and Planning software and technology
Proven track record of implementing successful process improvements and cost-saving initiatives
Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a focus on data driven decision making
Effective communication and negotiation abilities
Excellent leadership and team management skills
Desirable
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business, or a related field. Master's degree preferred
