- Establish and sustain a process for oversight and foresight of emerging threats that may impact SSE's operational capabilities.

- Lead business resilience services, collaborating with business units to define suitable organisational resiliency and recovery solutions while maintaining plans at required quality thresholds.

- Manage the Group Business Continuity Manager.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we'd love for you to have:

- Substantial experience of Risk/Organisational Resilience Management along with industry experience gained in a high-hazard industry, such as offshore or petrochemical, regulatory bodies (HSE), or construction.

- Experience in formulating and implementing Organisational Resilience policies and strategies within a complex organisation, coupled with proficiency in project management and delivery.

- In-depth understanding of energy industries, market pressures, financial metrics, and the commercial impact of decisions.

- Proficiency in SHE Management Systems, Risks Management Systems, SHE Risks & UK Legal Framework, with the ability to assess statutory compliance and anticipate potential impacts of new legislation.

- A credible leader capable of providing guidance at a very senior level, showcasing excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a natural talent for building relationships, and strong influencing abilities.
