Head Of Patient Safety

Location: Derby - hybrid working
Salary: 80,000.00 - 90,000 + Car allowance + bonus

Summary:
An experienced Head of Patient Safety is required to ensure full compliance within this highly regulated manufacturing and distribution environment. You will ensure the business is fully compliant with all legislative and regulatory requirements in relation to incident management reporting.
Key Responsibilities:

• Translating the Clinical Governance and Quality Strategy into a business plan that delivers Patient Safety management
• Creating, owning and delivering the Patient Safety Strategy
• Leading and driving patient and customer outcomes by applying a process of continuous improvement
• Leading and driving client relationships and pharmacovigilance reporting activities ensuring they are in accordance with QMS, regulatory requirements and SLA's
• Leading and driving an department where the performance and potential of people is maximised
• Proactively managing stakeholder relationships with regulatory bodies, NHS clients

Key Skills/Experience:

• Educated to Degree level (or equivalent) in life science degree. Pharmacist, Nurse or equivalent experience.
• Experience of quality management systems (ISO 9001:2015) and the ability to develop policy and procedures appropriate to organisation is essential.
• Must have a sound understanding of NHS secondary and tertiary care prescribing and condition management arrangements and the requirements on registered professionals in delivering safe and effective care.
• Strong leadership and management skills.
• Extensive working knowledge in regulatory compliance is essential within a healthcare environment and/or regulator
