Head of Payments
- Core Banking
- Payments Platform Our Financial Services client is looking for a Head of Payments to join them to lead the future of digital Banking and play a pivotal role in driving innovation and success Reporting directly to the CIO, Core Banking and Payments, the Head of Payments will lead a dedicated product and platform development teams responsible for the creation, operation, and management of a successful identity, authentication, and authorisation platform and strategy.
The role involves close collaboration with digital products leadership to formulate a roadmap supporting a unified, channel-agnostic identity capability.
Key Responsibilities: Develop an enterprise customer identity strategy, establishing a persistent team for building, releasing, operating, and supporting the platform.
Collaborate with third parties to maintain top quartile performance in service availability.
Manage the financial and capacity portfolio with a focus on cost control, investment spend, and consistent methodology.
Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team fostering a culture that aligns with the business purpose.
Cultivate continuous improvement, flexibility, and effectiveness, promoting satisfaction among colleagues, customers, and the community.
Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory requirements, and cybersecurity plans.
Core Accountabilities: Oversee production stability, performance, uptime, and availability of Identity systems and platforms.
Ensure delivery of the strategic roadmap for Identity, Authentication, and Authorization within budget and expected milestones.
Maintain tight controls on finances, resource demand/supply, and drive high productivity.
Lead the development of the domain technology strategy in line with Technology Design Standards Experience & Knowledge: Experience: 10 years in senior Payments/Core Banking leadership roles Strong track record in leading change delivery with measurable results Business partnering and major transformation experience in the FS sector Broad understanding of technology principles, consumer identity technology, and UK payments and banking regulatory requirements.
Detailed understanding of change methods, digital platforms, data strategy concepts, software development techniques, and Cloud computing/Open Banking strategies.
Strong banking commercial skills in driving new revenues and optimizing cost Expertise in business and commercial insights, consulting, leadership, sales, relationship focus, networking, communication, personal resilience, managing change, continuous improvement, innovation, analysis, problem-solving, business acumen, managing risk, delivering results, and strategic focus.
Resilient under pressure and challenging deadlines.
