The role - As Head of Performance you will commercially and strategically shape what we do within the acquisition channels. You will deliver a clear competitive acquisition strategy, including user segmentation, personal journeys, targeting and positioning and will develop results focussed multi-channel acquisition strategies and campaigns. You will track, analyse and drive all performance. You will support ways in which your function can drive long term customer value and ROI. You will be key in leading the business in developing and implementing competitive and relevant lead strategies for the future. You will have strong leadership skills, as you will need to collaborate and manage internal and external teams, including third party agencies and internal stakeholders who are all part of the acquisition journey.   

The Head of Performance will be required to do the following:

  • Strategy - Clearly define and articulate our customer acquisition strategy. Determine how many customers we can acquire, at what cost, how and when

  •  ROI - Determine our optimal customer acquisition cost for each of our customer groups

  • Acquisition Campaigns - Plan, design and execute acquisition campaigns throughout the year across all channels

  • Conversion - Identify, deliver and support areas for improvement to increase conversion from prospect to Stage 1

  • Automation - Identify and execute opportunities to automate the acquisition process

  • Analysis - set, track and report on key metrics

  • Be the lead across all Performance Marketing channels

  • Work closely with our Head of Brand to drive the performance of above the line channels

  • Drive qualified leads from target segments at a target CPL through performance focused marketing activities, and work with the business to support the conversion of these prospects to Stage 1

  • Building a roadmap for marketing strategy over a longer-term horizon i.e. extending existing channels and testing new avenues to market
  • Ensure you have an excellent understanding of the customer journey and ensuring this is the most efficient to maximise leads
  • Improve and optimise performance ensuring budgets are adequately allocated and spent on key initiatives with clear ROI metrics attached
  • Own, manage and maintain the performance acquisition budget
  • Manage external digital agencies, ensuring maximum value for money and knowledge transfer to internal team

The successful Head of Performance should ideally be able to demonstrate the following:

  • A proven track record leading a successful Performance Marketing function
  • Proven experience in setting, implementing and delivering acquisition strategy
  • Be able to demonstrate your success and have experience working in high volume traction environments
  • Proven ability to translate customer research into profitable new marketing activity
  • Enjoy working in an SME environment
  • Be highly analytical with attention to detail around data, making commercial decisions based on the data gathered
  • Exceptional people leader
  • Highly collaborative; developing effective and positive working relationships across the organisation as well as externally

The Head of Performance will be rewarded with a competitive salary of circa £60,000, depending on experience, plus excellent company benefits.
