Role: Head of Policy and Public Affairs
Salary: £52,500

Hours: Full time, 37 hours a week (flexible working considered)
Reports to: Director of Campaigns
Direct reports: Policy and Research Manager
Directorate: Campaigns

About the role

SignHealth is the health charity run by Deaf people for Deaf people. We are passionate about ending the health inequality that Deaf people currently face. We have ambitious plans and are looking for an influencing expert willing to roll your sleeves up and join a growing team.

Do you want to use your political expertise to advocate for deaf rights?

You will bring excellent knowledge of the UK Government and Parliament, how policy change happens and how to develop effective advocacy strategies to achieve change. Leading our Public Affairs, Policy and research work, you will develop the powerful evidence, trusted relationships and creative lobbying tactics that will enable SignHealth to make a lasting difference.

You will be curious about how our community experiences healthcare and use that insight to drive health policy changes and solutions that end the health inequalities deaf people face. You will also be enthusiastic and resilient when navigating a challenging and complex health system to drive change for good.
