The Law Society of Northern Ireland is the professional body forthe Solicitor profession with over 6,000 members, of whom circa 3,000 are inpractice in the private, corporate and public sectors.
The Law Society is the voice of the Solicitor profession in NorthernIreland and represents the profession’s interests through engagement withGovernment and other agencies. The Law Society seeks to be an authoritativevoice on legal services policy in Northern Ireland and undertakes regularengagement with the Minister of Justice, the Department of Justice, and theJustice Committee of the Northern Ireland Assembly to promote the interests ofthe Solicitor profession on issues such as Access to Justice.
The successful candidate will develop and maintain the Law Society’sstrategic relationships with key organisations and institutions, promoteunderstanding of the contribution of the legal services sector to the regionaleconomy and effectively represent the profession and influence the developmentof law and practice in Northern Ireland.
