Title: Head of PPC/Paid Search - Casino, Bingo & Games Location: London

Salary: £60k - £65k plus benefits

Hybrid Working: 3 days in office, 2 days working from home

Must have the necessary right to live and work in the UK

I'm working with a Casino, Bing and Gaming brand based in London who are looking to add a PP Lead/Head of PPC to the team, this is a brand new leadership role the business. They have had a great 2023 and this role is an expansion role focused on growing their customer base on a global basis, they are currently in multiple regions such as the UK, EU, US and South America. This role will be responsible for PPC on a global basis managing a global budget of over 15 million. There is already a team 2 in place (PPC Manager & PPC Exec) but they have several roles in the planning stage that could increase the team to 4. They currently have agency support for multiple regions so they will look to you to present a global acquisition strategy and decide what resources should be kept with the agency or brought in-house.

The brand is a well-established player in the online gaming world, over the last couple of years, they have developed a loyal customer base who engages with the way they do business. They are looking hire a Head of PPC to focusing on their most critical channel . The PPC team will act as an internal agency and work with stakeholders around the world to define and deliver performance marketing plans. They have a multi-million-pound budget focused on the UK, Spain, Mexico, Sweden, Canada, and plans to enter many new markets.

The role is going to be focused on the strategic aspects of PPC they have an agency retained on a global basis so this role is going to be focused on driving results and eking out the inches for each region. Outside of the day-to-day management of strategic Performance Marketing campaigns, the role will also have the opportunity to get involved with the wider digital marketing strategy and work directly with the Head of Digital Marketing to increase customer conversions globally. They have just finished a restructure so they are looking for an aspiring leader who wants to build a team around them.

The role is based in London and will be required to be in the office three days a week for team-related collaboration. The client has a no video call rule so anytime you're in the office it will be for something team-related not a Zoom call in a new location.

Role responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and delivery of the annual PPC marketing strategies for a range of markets
  • Deliver and execute monthly, quarterly and annual marketing plans for PPC campaigns together with the in-house 'delivery' team across the in-housed markets
  • Manage successfully the ongoing performance/optimization and weekly/monthly reporting of the above campaigns to the relevant stakeholder, to ensure the company hits the annual targets for each channel and geography.
  • Proceed with daily/weekly/monthly auditing of the in-housed campaigns
  • Identify and test new channels outside of our existing marketing mix to add scale to the performance plans
  • Work with the Marketing Analytics and BI teams to identify and provide evidence on assisted conversions across all relevant platforms
  • Work with the Head of Digital to build and get approved a migration plan for the in-housing of more markets and channels across 2024
  • The ongoing mentoring and development of direct reports

The Performance Marketing Lead role requires the following experience:

  • Extensive experience in Performance Marketing - PPC
  • Experience working with a Digital Marketing Agency
  • Previous hands on experience with PPC and App Marketing (Push campaigns are an essential part of their marketing strategy)
  • Experience in the gaming industry is beneficial
  • Expert understanding of digital tracking, measurement, and reporting tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Teamworking skills - the ability to build relationships internally and externally, with experience working across multiple countries is also beneficial
  • Strong understanding of current online marketing concepts, strategy, and best practice
  • Must be at the cutting edge of search innovation with an awareness of platform changes, ideally with nurtured contacts already within Apple, Facebook, and Google
  • Must have the ability to drive complex strategies but also to explain them to nurture junior members of staff and non-digital stakeholders
  • You will require strong analytical acumen with the ability to uncover insights and create stories by seamlessly integrating a variety of data sources
