Job description

The Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) is the leading voice of 5.5 million small businesses and the self-employed across the UK. What will you do?
This is an interesting and varied role. As a key member of the FSB Wales team, the successful candidate will:
Run the Wales press office using the full range of media and lobbying channels to build the FSB's public reputation as the authoritative voice of small businesses in Wales Act as a spokesperson in Welsh and where appropriate the UK media. In conjunction with the Head of Wales, devise, implement and monitor a pro-active forward media and Public Affairs plan Plan communication, media and Public Affairs to inform the FSB Wales Business Plan. Represent FSB on external groups and influence key decision makers including politicians, ministers, civil servants, representative bodies and other officials. Who are we looking for?
The ideal candidate will have experience of:
Managing relationships with politicians and other senior figures Influencing and working with Welsh political institutions Writing press releases and articles for local newspapers, social media, internal publications etc. Organising and prioritising a demanding workload Working with volunteers Social media campaigns and writing for social media FSB is dedicated to helping small businesses survive through these difficult times, and we value our staff enough to provide highly competitive rates of pay, benefits, and internationally recognised qualifications.
