Leading high technology manufacturer with a state-of-the-art, purpose-built facility in North Bristol are seeking an experienced Quality Manager, who is keen to play a pivotal role in leading all Quality activities within the team in Bristol and have a significant impact on the wider business. As the Head of Quality, you will be responsible for the maintenance and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System and take ownership of all relevant audits and certifications.
The Role:
·The Head of Quality will be ultimately responsible for all aspects of Quality from design and engineering, suppliers, productions and for customers
·You will champion Quality within the business, seeking continuous development and improvement.
·Develop plans and strategy to support, contribute to, and integrate within the organisation's business strategy.
·Maintain compliance, and oversee audits on all company and industry standards and accreditations
·Work with colleagues and customers to identify opportunities for improving the quality of products and services and recommend approaches and necessary actions to deliver improvements.
·Report on changes in standards (internally and externally)
·Liaise and co-operate with quality management and standards bodies and integrate the relevant standards within internal quality management systems.
·You will implement a communication strategy to improve awareness and ownership of Quality issues across the entire company.
The Person:
·Engineering or manufacturing qualification is beneficial though not essential.
·Membership of professional Quality body - CQI, etc. Internal Auditor Qualified.
·Degree level qualification advantageous.
·Strong leadership, coaching and influencing capability
·Experience in maintaining ISO Quality accreditation.
·Project management.
·Able to lead quality improvement activity within cross functional teams.
·Able to advise and act on complex quality issues - e.g. business processes, root cause analysis, document control and traceability.
