Job description

BCUHB is at the forefront of Digital Change and Transformation with a clear ambition of using digital technology to bring care closer to home.
It is an exciting time of change here in BCUHB as we focus on transforming the way we deliver our patient Referral and Booking services to provide an excellent experience for patients, with innovation and best practice at the heart of this change. We are looking for a driven and personable individual to lead and empower our valued staff on this journey of change, that will start with centralising the patient administration booking centre teams under a single management structure within the Planned Care Department.
You will need to be able to understand the strategic direction of BCUHB and work collaboratively to translate this to delivery, at the same time as managing the continued high demand for our referral and Booking Services.
We are seeking a dynamic individual with a supportive management style who will build trust & strong relationships within the team. The ideal candidate will combine leadership and management strengths, and encourage excellent communication and collaboration within the team, paying attention to providing all team members with the training and support they need to carry out their roles efficiently and support their long-term goals.
The successful candidate will have had previous exposure to operational service pressures and an excellent understanding of RTT & Cancer rules and national waiting time standards.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
