A pivotal role in the charity, the Head ofResearch Communications and Engagement is crucial to the success of making research accessible and engaging to everyone. The aim ofthis role is tohighlight the value and impact of Research and build continued trust and support for the charity. Therefore, understanding complex research, and experience communicating to a wide and varied audience is key!
You’ll use your medical research knowledge and expertise to lead the team to deliver tailored, accurate and creative Research Communications for PR and digital channels. You’ll lead on both reactive and proactive communication campaigns and establish understanding of the organisation as the leading charity funding world-class research.
The position is offered as a full-time, 12 month maternity cover contract, to start as soon as possible, working in the London office minimum 2 days a week, with 3 days flexible from home.

Your key skills:
- Excellent writing and verbal communication skills to interpret and present scientific and statistical information in accessible and meaningful ways.
- Experience as a spokesperson, helping to raise an organisations profile or subject matter through the media and press.
- Able to lead, inspire and motivate an effective team
- Work collaboratively on strategic projects across teams and departments
£52,000 to £55,000 per annum, plus amazing benefits.
35 hours per week
London (home and office based)
