Rate: £500 per day via Umbrella Company (inside ir35)

Working pattern: 1 day per week on site / 4 days per week from home

Location: Brighton & Hove

Duration: 3 months contract with chance to extend

A very exciting position has arisen for an Interim Head of Reward to work for a prestigious regulatory body that provide extensive knowledge on a national scale. The post holder will be involved in providing interim support to the Organisations reward, benefits and compensations framework and will lead the implementation of the reward strategy.

Key responsibilities:

  • Working with the Executive team to lead on all elements of Reward, benefits and compensation
  • To implement and manage the reward strategy
  • Ensure that effective systems and controls are implemented, embedded, operating effectively and periodically reviewed and enhanced
  • Oversee and develop where necessary total reward including all benefits and recognition programs in order to ensure the Organisation can attract and retain employees
  • Conduct market research on compensation structures
  • Analyse the employee satisfaction with reference to reward
  • Lead, coach and develop the HR reward team
  • Contribute to the People Directorate’s Senior Leadership team, working with colleagues across the directorate and the Organisation on broader projects which underpin the overarching objectives of the People & Culture strategy
  • Own the relationship with internal key stakeholder groups in relation to Reward

Successful candidate profile:

  • Extensive experience of leading the reward agenda in a public sector environment
  • Extensive experience of stakeholder management at the highest level
  • Demonstrable experience of establishing a holistic reward package that helped drive the right behaviors and performance within the Organisation
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience of Trade Unions and leading reward discussions within a negotiating context
