Head of Berkhamsted Sixth

We have a rare and exciting opportunity to appoint a new Head of Sixth at Berkhamsted Schools Group from September 2024. 

The Head of Sixth is expected to establish and sustain a vision for an appropriately ambitious academic work ethic; a sense of personal responsibility and integrity among the students; an ethos of adventure with regard to the opportunities of the Sixth form; a community noted for its supportive and positive nature and contribution to the local area; and an atmosphere where young people are nurtured yet encouraged to become independent learners, in preparation for university and the workplace.

The successful candidate will have strong emergent leadership experience and skills, an extensive understanding of post-16 curricular developments and issues related to higher education as well as a proven ability in public presentations and strong marketing skills.

We are delighted that we are currently constructing a new Sixth Form centre, details of which can be seen by clicking HERE. We are anticipating the building will open in January 2025.
