Head of Strategic Technology Partnerships

As the Head of Strategic Technology Partnerships, you will lead the function responsible for creating global value adding strategic partnerships, leveraging Primark's position to unlock opportunities for Primark that would ordinarily be out of reach by spend alone. Reporting to the CTO, this role represents a great opportunity for the qualified candidate to utilise their expertise and previous experience to inform how Primark builds and manages best in class strategic partnerships.

What You'll Do:
In your role, you'll collaborate with different people across a range of skillsets. Here's a flavour of your day-to-day:
  • You will be responsible for delivering both efficiency (commercial and operational) and value from global partner relationships, seeking opportunities and influencing senior stakeholders internally at Primark.
  • You will act as a commercial escalation point for strategic partners and work collaboratively with the Primark procurement team representing Primark in senior partner governance forums.
  • You will play a crucial role in effectively managing meaningful relationships and governance for all Technology Partners & Alliances to reach maximum value for Primark.
  • A key deliverable will be the design and implementation of the Strategic Partnerships strategy, you will ensure that this strategy is effectively imbedded across all teams, including the Technology teams, Business Stakeholders and external teams.
  • You will also own both the hardware and software asset management process and ensure that Primark is compliant across all technologies. This role is of critical importance as the business grows and extends across channels and territories.

What You'll Bring
Here at Primark, we want everyone to feel valued - so please bring your authentic self to work, of course with some other key experience and abilities for this role in particular:
  • A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in a complex IT environment, with at least 3-5 years in a senior leadership role overseeing partner management.
  • Experience in dealing with large scale partnerships deals in a heavily outsourced environment ideally in the retail industry.
  • Proven history of contract tendering and negotiations, and advanced partner management experience.
  • Ability to establish, present and communicate a clear strategic direction which inspires ownership across the business.
  • Established leader and trusted advisor with extensive experience of developing senior business relationships and shaping and underpinning business strategies.
  • A collaborative enterprise-wide thinker who's accustomed to putting customers and users at the heart of plans to deliver required outcomes.
