ECA is looking for a results-focused Head of Student Acquisition to take a lead on growing student enrolments. This person will be responsible for international markets, and with a particular focus on the expansion of London Metropolitan University pathway programmes - International Foundation Programme (IFP) and The Pre-master’s Programme (PMP) and other UK partners as required.

About the position:

Reporting to the Campus Director (ECA International College and London Met Online), and in collaboration with ECA Group Director, International Student Recruitment, the Head of Student Acquisition will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative marketing strategies to aid growth and diversification in the international student population to meet the challenging targets in existing and new markets in accordance with the ECA Enrolment Plan as directed.

 Responsibilities:  

●      Conduct territory planning and execution of business development and recruitment strategy. 

●      Manage and support the onshore and offshore partner agents to achieve the recruitment targets and KPIs 

●      Develop and implement effective marketing strategies for the promotion of ECA Pathway Programmes.

●      Effectively manage a network of in-country representatives in specific regions/countries to promote and sell ECA Pathway Programmes to prospective international students. 

●      Evaluate and analyse international marketing strategies and tactics for return on investment and effectiveness in contributing to the ECA Internationalisation Strategy  

●      Identify education institutions appropriate for collaboration to increase international student recruitment to our university partner portfolio 

●      Grow the network of UK Focus partner agencies for the ECA Group  

●      Travel to visit agent partners and support counsellors/students to increase our ECA Group brand awareness and course options. 

●      Identify and work with B2B opportunities to grow student numbers in assigned regions

●      Conduct recruitment activities such as networking, fairs, events which may be linked to education, student recruitment or our university partner

●      Work alongside digital marketing for student nurturing campaigns to achieve recruitment targets and KPIs 

●      Drive leads and enquiries to the sales team to achieve student recruitment target of new student enrolments 

●      Understand market trends and proactively identify risk and opportunities in the market that may affect student recruitment in the region 

●      Assist in market data/competitor analysis 

●      Promote high level of customer service 

●      Forecast student numbers and reporting on activities on a weekly basis to management 

●      Be an ambassador and advocate for international education both internally to ECA International College and externally as a representative of international education in ECA Global 

 

As the successful candidate you will ideally have: 

●      A relevant postgraduate qualification (or progress towards completion) and extensive experience in international Student Acquisition.

●      International student recruitment experience (minimum five years’ experience) and demonstrated knowledge of international student recruitment markets, including detailed understanding of admissions issues, market trends and demonstrated expertise to develop new markets. 

●      An awareness of issues and factors affecting the UK higher education sector 

●      Demonstrated high level interpersonal and client service skills with local and international stakeholders and knowledge of intercultural issues relating to communication record keeping.  

●      Effective and efficient planning, organisation, and time management skills. 

●      Demonstrated ability to use data to analyse and evaluate marketing strategies and use this to inform future market planning and business decision making.  

●      Extensive experience in developing and implementing complex, multi-channel market plans with creativity and innovation. 

●      Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated and to work productively alone or under broad supervision as a member of a national team. 

●      Ability and willingness to undertake inter-state and international travel which may involve prolonged periods away from home 

●      Demonstrated commitment to cultural diversity and ethical practice principles, and demonstrated knowledge of equal employment opportunity and workplace health and safety, appropriate to the level of the appointment. 

●      Understanding of UK university systems and procedures as well as private HE providers in the UK

●      A detailed knowledge of UK requirements and compliance issues for providers of tertiary education to international students  

●      Fluency in language other than English would be a bonus
