ABOUT US:
Optimal Maintenance Ltd offers property maintenance to a variety of clients from housing associations to high-end estate agents.
Optimal Maintenance Ltd offers a professional service covering all types of property maintenance. This could be a carpenter to fit a new door lock, a gas-safe plumber to install a new boiler or a full property refurbishment. No job is too small and, as a result, this means properties receive the care they deserve with a high level of customer service from both office and field staff.
THE ROLE:
We are looking for a Head of Supply Chain who wants to be part of our growth story.

We want to maintain our entrepreneurial DNA and our new Head of Supply Chain will be very hands-on.
KEY TASK AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supporting the management of the tendering process for new business
Procurement of Subcontracted services post-contract award including preparation and negotiation of contractual terms and conditions against the agreed prime contract
Management of active Subcontracts and Service Level Agreements to ensure performance targets are met to the company’s quality standards and in line with the contractually agreed key performance indicators
Management of the tendering process with potential Subcontractors where we are bidding as the main Contractor including price negotiations
Management of the exit process when a provider leaves the Supply Chain
Reviewing Supply Chain analysis on performance measures and making decisions on necessary interventions from the Supply Chain management performance management toolkit to agree on plans with providers on performance improvement
Reviewing provider progress on performance improvement and where necessary, making arrangements to adjust profiles and or make changes to contractual targets, reallocating volumes appropriately across the Supply Chain
Proactive management of Subcontractors and Partners to assist them with being successful but, where necessary, instigating performance management regimes for poor-performing Subcontractors including possible contract cancellation
Required to undertake site visits and monitor that Subcontractors and Partners meet the terms and conditions set out in agreements and contracts

Experience in conflict management and ongoing dispute resolution
Experience in engaging with a variety of seniority levels both internally and externally and across different organizations
Strong planning skills and project management expertise
Excellent time management skills and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy
Strategic planning and thinking, systems analysis, and evaluation
Relationship management skills and active listening
Complex problem-solving skills
Interpersonal skills
In-depth understanding of risk management within the Supply Chain of the company
Technical skills including strong and immediately effective communication skills, excellent IT and administration skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint), good numeracy skills, and excellent written and verbal communication/record-keeping skills
