Hays Supply Chain are recruiting on an exclusive basis for a Head of Supply Chain Operations for a global organisation based in Grimsby, Lincolnshire.As Head of Supply Chain, you will champion the enhancement, maintenance, and innovation of organisations\' global Supply Chain and operations, ensuring product availability, efficiency in goods movement, and technical compliance. This role is critical in managing demand planning, steering product development, and leading the operations and Supply Chain teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead the evolution of global Supply Chain and logistics systems.
- Assure efficient transit of goods across UK, EU, and US channels, focusing on process improvement.
- Ensure supply to the rest of world is optimised and effective for all sales channels and formulated to maximise growth.
- Spearhead demand forecasting, aligning inventory with market needs.
- Apply advanced forecasting tools and insights for proactive production planning.
- Guide the product lifecycle from ideation to market launch.
- Foster synergy amongst design, manufacturing, and marketing for groundbreaking products.
- Evaluate market responses post-launch, using data and feedback to sharpen product strategies.
- Partner with finance to efficiently manage operational and developmental expenses.
- Cultivate strategic supplier partnerships, securing favourable terms and ensuring material quality.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with robust operational acumen, able to drive cross-functional efforts to market excellence, while championing both the professional growth of the operations team and the company's commitment to sustainability.
You will have expertise in operations, Supply Chain, and logistics management, this is essential. The Head of Supply Chain will be proficient in demand planning and inventory control as well as have experience with product development and lifecycle management.
The Head of Supply Chain will be skilled in negotiation and supplier management, as well as be a proven leader and be able to mentor and develop a small and close-knit team.
It would be advantageous if the successful candidate was familiar with technical standards and compliance across different markets.
What you'll get in return
The role would offer a very competitive salary of up to £60,000 per annum with excellent benefits including a bonus scheme. The role is a full-time, permanent position with genuine opportunities for career development. The role will be based on site in Grimsby, but longer term there will be opportunities for flexibility and possibly working from home on occasions.
