Head of Sustainability

I am pleased to present a career opportunity for a Head of Sustainability, for an organisation in Leicestershire. This will be Full Time, but with remote or hybrid working possible with the hours being roughly 37.5 per week.
The salary will be between £51,000 and £57,000 per annum. The organisation offers an excellent benefits package.
Job Responsibilities:
* To provide professional leadership on environmental statutory compliance, Waste energy/utility procurement, technical advice and guidance, energy/utility monitoring and reduction programmes, project management, reporting and governance
* To lead, develop and implement the approach to environmental sustainability, and provide senior professional management of the full range of environmental services including; energy and water management, waste management, carbon reduction, sustainable and active travel, environmental legal compliance, sustainable design and construction, environmental management systems, communications and staff engagement
* Drive improvements across the Sustainability, Waste and Energy Management portfolio including but not limited to: behavioural change; waste segregation, engineering design advice, plant/equipment modification advice/implementation, operational advice (e.g. BMS modifications), optimisation and reduction of energy use, procurement and supply, transport and carbon footprint etc
* To effectively identify opportunity sustainability projects, lead and manage these through their lifecycle
* Maintain and develop the sustainability training offer for staff and stakeholders and development a network of Sustainability champions across the organisation. You will be required to co-ordinate the training offer and provide some of the delivery capacity where required
* Support teams and departments that are undertaking projects to improve models or care to reduce environmental impact and carbon footprint and ensure that outcomes are captured and reported
