Boden Group has been assigned to recruit a Head of Technical services suited to strong technically minded individuals who would be able to manage across a complex and busy site. Whilst hard services are the main focus, the role would also suit a TFM with a technical bias and qualifications to match.
The environment is one that will certainly keep you engaged with lots of moving parts and no day will be the same. You will join an already-established team and bring a wealth of knowledge and experience for other similar roles.
Whilst we are open to candidates from various environments, the role will suit someone from a fast-paced industry such as hospitality, retail, large estates or multi-site management.
More about the role:
- You will be responsible for technical performance and maintenance standards across the estate. Working with the operations team, you will also be responsible for the M&E and Building Fabric Services.
- This role is very much about being part of the team and their vision. It will be part of your role to inspire, innovate and involve the team to achieve excellence across the estate.
- Lead the M&E and Building Fabric teams to innovate, continually improve and provide a best in class service to our occupiers and our client with accountability for technical compliance.
- Strong engagement with the other heads of department within the Operations team and wider business including Health & Safety, Technology and Infrastructure, Facilities Management and
- Resilience & Emergency Planning. Financial management for all operational service charge budgets relating to Technical Services.
- Lead performance reviews and clear goal setting for all direct reports, encourage and inspire managers to conduct excellent performance reviews and personal development with their respective team members.
What are we looking for in an applicant?
- HNC/HND Technical discipline or degree or equivalent experience in appropriate field (Mechanical/Electrical/Engineering) is desirable
- Experience with working in a compliance-led environment
- Experience in working within complex sites either across a region or large single site.
- Cost management: financial and commercial acumen with excellent planning, budgeting and operational reporting skills
