Job Purpose

We are seeking a seasoned Head of Technology for a critical 6-month contract at Eastlight Community Housing. This role demands an astute leader to manage our Technology Directorate, with a focus on delivering high-quality technology services to our residents. You will be instrumental in advancing our system architecture's tender process and providing strategic technical support for key business change projects.

What You'll Do

• Lead with Vision: As a strategic leader, you'll guide our Technology team to new heights, ensuring our services are not just resilient and secure but also pioneering and aHead of the curve.
• Shape the Future: Spearhead our strategic technology roadmap. Your role is more than implementing changes; it’s about rewriting the script of system architecture in the housing sector.
• Champion Operational Excellence: Oversee IT operations with a masterful touch, ensuring peak performance and reliability. Your management of budgets and vendor relationships will be pivotal in maximizing value and efficiency.
• Be the Change Agent: Collaborate with our Change team to align resources, mitigate risks, and seamlessly integrate new systems, ensuring technology is a catalyst for positive change.
• Guardian of Security: Craft and enforce state-of-the-art information security policies. Your proactive approach will keep us steps aHead of cybersecurity threats.
• Pioneer of Recovery and Continuity: Your strategic oversight in disaster recovery and business continuity will be the backbone of our resilience in technology.

Who We're Looking For

• Experience: Proven experience in technical management and a leadership role. ITIL accreditation is a plus.
• Skills: Outstanding leadership and communication skills, strategic mindset, budget and vendor management expertise, and a profound grasp of information security.
• Sector Savvy: Experience in housing association or similar sectors is ideal. We value your understanding of the unique challenges and regulatory landscape.

• £82,500 annual base salary
• Full time, 6 months fixed term contract
• Group stakeholder pension plan (Eastlight will double, up to 5% of the employee’s contribution - Employee 5% + Eastlight 10% = Total 15%)
• Annual wellbeing grant of £200 per annum – Subject to eligibility
• 33 days annual leave plus bank holidays (pro rata)
