Our client has an opportunity for a Head of Technology to lead their Technology Team. This role is responsible for managing of the Technology Team and ensuring there is clear, strategic direction to enable outstanding delivery across all aspects of the business.
Key responsibilities include:
Manage performance of all technical functions including service, security, commercial, infrastructure, applications (including Dynamics CE and F&O), data engineering, and architecture.
Effectively lead a high performing team, provide strategic management, expert guidance, and oversee the successful delivery of the technology function.
Set clear goals, direction, and priority for the technology team.
Ensure effective cyber security protection and roadmaps are in place.
Ensure sufficient security controls and practices are in place, including appropriate access profile set-up across all systems.
Build strong relationships across the business and ensure the technology function is well integrated across the business.
Collaborates with other specialists to evaluate new technology offerings for integration within the organisation.
Responsible for ensuring a clear architecture roadmap is created that supports wider strategies.
Ensure the availability, reliability, and integrity of the overall technology service.

Their ideal candidate will meet the below criteria:
Essential
Significant experience of leading, managing and growing effective technology functions.
Experience of designing, implementing, and running Azure environments, and Cloud migrations.
Experience of procuring, implementing, running, and improving CRM and ERP systems, ideally Dynamics CE and F&O
Experience of procurement and tendering, negotiation, supplier, and contract management
Experience of managing 3rd party technology suppliers across Infrastructure, Data platforms, CRM, and ERP, in a hybrid environment with both in-house and 3rd party teams
Experience of managing the implementation, running and improvement of data platforms
including Data Warehouses; APIs; Gateway Connections; Licensing (e.g. Power Bi).
Demonstrable detailed knowledge of cyber security and associated technologies, and experience of achieving compliance with relevant standards e.g. Cyber Essentials, PCI DSS
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills - able to communicate and present in a clear, succinct, and compelling manner, including communicating complex technology issues to non-technical colleagues.
Desirable
ITIL or CoBIT certified or equivalent
Demonstrable thought-leadership in the field of Technology
Knowledge of the GDPR and the implications for Technology
