What you will be doing

As the Head of Wholesale at Connexin, you will play a pivotal role in leading the sales strategy through Wholesale partners. This is a unique opportunity to shape and grow a new function within the company, requiring a start-up mentality. Reporting directly to the C-suite, you will be responsible for bringing ISP partners onto the full-fibre network, maximising the asset's value and complementing other market strategies. This is a senior role and an amazing opportunity to join a successful and growing business. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the sales strategy for the business through Wholesale partners. 
  • Define and continuously improve the Wholesale partner on-boarding process.
  • Collaborate closely with Wholesale partners to define and implement effective Go-to-Market strategies.
  • Ensure a high conversion rate, streamlined installation experience, and robust support services.
  • Drive a great return on investment, contributing to the profitability of geographic areas served by Connexin.
  • Full ownership of product, pricing, reporting, and contractual negotiation.
  • Build and lead the newly formed wholesale group, shaping the strategy and team.
  • Focus on ease of process, ensuring smooth onboarding for wholesale customers.
  • Own and oversee the relationship with all Wholesale partners – chairing regular meetings and meetups.
  • Produce and present reports at Board level to showcase the performance of the wholesale function.

Essential skills and competencies

  • Senior B2B wholesale experience within the UK telecoms industry.
  • Strong background in sales and commercial operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead teams.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset suitable for a start-up environment.
  • Familiarity with competitive pricing and market dynamics.
  • Effective leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A skilled communicator able to interact with people at any level within internal or external organisations and the ability to quickly built rapport.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to define and drive complex projects that involve multiple departments and stakeholders through to completion.
  • Self-motivated and driven.
  • An open, enthusiastic and positive approach.
  • Excellent organisational, presentation and time management skills.

Essential Experience

  • At least 10 years’ experience of working in a B2B sales role.
  • Experienced at managing wholesale partners and driving value for them to ensure repeat business
  • Strong leadership experience across large-scale commercial operations. 
  • Extensive industry knowledge and trends, and deep expertise in telecommunications - familiarity with full-fibre networks, ISP operations, and market dynamics.
  • Highly mature and experienced stakeholder management and influencing skills · Commercial and risk awareness, either in a professional service environment or as a customer of a professional services partner
  • Mentoring, coaching or managing others in project teams and in other parts of the business in addition to an ability to work collaboratively and to be a team player.
  • Experience of developing business, structuring work and leading teams to successful outcomes, even in highly ambiguous situations.

Essential Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field

Desirable Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or a related field
  • Certifications in sales, marketing, or relevant areas
