Head of Youth Programmes (Hybrid)

Location: Hybrid 1-2 times per week at our Victoria office or on sites, remaining days from home

Salary: £43,051 per annum

Tenure: Permanent, full time contract

We’re looking for a Head of Youth Programmes to help achieve our vision of London alive with nature, where everyone can experience and enjoy wildlife.

Role & Responsibilities

🌍 Oversee Youth programmes: Lead a variety of Youth-focused projects that bring the wonders of wildlife and nature conservation to young minds. From immersive nature engagement programmes to exciting urban wildlife adventures, your creativity will be the key to sparking a lifelong love for nature.

🌟 Youth Board Dynamo: Be the driving force behind our Youth Board, fostering a platform for young voices to be heard. Collaborate with enthusiastic individuals, strategise movement building for change in line with our strategy, and champion initiatives that make a real difference for nature and people in London.

🚀 Trainee Scheme Architect: Shape the future of conservation by managing our paid traineeship scheme. Cultivate the talents of young people, providing them with the tools and experiences needed to flourish in a career within the sector..

What’s in it for you?

Salary: £43,051 per annum

Tenure: Permanent, full time contract

  • Hybrid role with typically 1-2 days on site (Wednesday at our Head office in Victoria and occasional travel to sites on a second day pr in office)

Our ideal Head of Youth Programmes

We’re looking for a strong project/programme manager who can help accelerate our sector leading work from programmes into movement building. This would be a pivotal role in our organiastion for a creative and highly organised and individual to deliver on a range of exciting objectives

  • Strong project/ programmes management experience including contributing to funding applications and reporting to funders
  • Experience with implementing projects for young people aged 11-25 (in an outdoor setting would be a bonus!)
  • Experience leading traineeships including designing and delivering training for young people/ early careers
  • An interest or passion for in wildlife/ urban nature
  • Experience with partnership management and people management with strong wellbeing focus
