Headache Clinical Nurse Specialist (Band 7)

, An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, proactive registered nurse with experience in Headache or Neurology to join  the Neurology team in Swansea Bay. This is a full time and permanent Band 7 post., , Dependent on your experience and with initial support of the existing Band 7 CNS in Headache, you will over time, run and maintain nurse-led clinics independently and play a leading role in providing treatment to patients with headache disorders., , You will be expected to exercise a high degree of professional autonomy and to make critical judgements using specialist knowledge; you will provide the highest standard of holistic patient care for patients with headache. You will have responsibility for assessing patients and subsequently devising, implementing and assessing an individual's comprehensive Headache management plan. The post holder will need to work closely with the headache nursing team, consultant neurologists and health colleagues within primary and secondary care, social care and voluntary agencies, contributing to and implementing care for people with headache. A background in neurology and/or neurosurgery is essential.
